Details:

November 16, 9am-4:30pm. One 45-minute session per person. Your time slot will be assigned.

About our clinician: Larry Brinker has competed in Ridden and Driven Dressage. Larry competed in Combined Driving (through Advanced), Show Jumping, Eventing and the FEI Advanced level in ridden Dressage, with his Canadian Dressage Team "long listed" mount, Goldherr.

As a coach and trainer, Larry is a Level 2 English certified coach with Equine Canada, with clients in the Eventing, Dressage and Driving disciplines. He has coached and trained Dressage & Driving riders and horses through the FEI levels in all three disciplines.

Larry holds American Driving Society officials tickets - "R/Senior" in Driving Dressage and Combined Driving and “r” Combined Driving Technical Delegate. - He is also an Equine Canada official in Dressage/”Basic” (ridden), as well as “r” Jumper Judge, "r" in Hunter /Jumper Course Designer, and Eventing – Level 3.

In addition to competing, coaching, training horses and officiating, Larry has served in numerous capacities with national and local equestrian organizations and filled almost every conceivable position for horse competition management. He currently serves as Past President of the American Driving Society Dressage Committee. He has also served as a member of the Licensed Officials Committee.

In his “real” life, Larry taught school (8th thru 10th grades) for over 30 years.

Join us for the 2023 ADS Annual Meeting Weekend in Aiken, SC, November 15-19, 2023, a weekend that's part driving family gathering and part fundraiser. With the help of Peggy Dils and the Aiken Driving Club, we are planning a wonderful long weekend of driving activities, celebrations and meetings. Register now!

The ADS has a room block at the Fairfield Marriott in Aiken (185 Colony Pkwy, Aiken, SC) for $119/night King and $139/night Double. You can book your room by calling the hotel directly at (803) 648-7808 and request to be in the ADS block. Deadline for room reservations is October 10.

Sign up for clinic lessons with Larry Brinker and Carrie Ostrowski-Place when you register. Lessons are booked on a first come, first served basis and are not guaranteed once the slots fill.

12pm-4pm Members can move equines into stalls at the Aiken Training Track. Health Certificates and vaccination record (with vaccinations according to GR6.3) will be checked upon arrival.
4-6pm Registration at The Wilcox
5pm Welcome Reception at The Wilcox sponsored by the Aiken Driving Club

9:30am-11am Drive through town of Aiken, traffic will be stopped along the route. Professional photographer stationed on South Boundary taking photographs available for purchase (these will make memorable holiday cards!)

Sunday, November 19
9am-12pm ADS Board of Directors Meeting at Senior Life Center
Members move animals out of stalls by 2pm. Stalls must be stripped to receive stall deposit back.
