We’d like your participation in an upcoming educational ZOOM project focusing on dressage test comments. The comments ADS officials make on dressage tests describe what your horse is doing during the test and typically note a strength or a weakness in the performance. They are meant to help you focus your training at home and improve your performance at your net event.  But, if you don’t understand the comment, they are not serving their purpose. We’d like you to send us comments you have found confusing or that contain terminology that you aren’t familiar with. Select comments will be used in an interactive panel ZOOM discussion scheduled for July 24 from 7-8pm East. The panel will consist of ADS judges Tracey Morgan (CDJ R), Lynn Legg (CDJ R), Teresa Bron (CDJ R), and Lydia Gray (Dressage r).

No identifying information of the driver, horse or judge involved with comments submitted will be used in the discussion. To submit a comment, please include the following information:

  1. Test Name (IE. ADS Training Level Test A)
  2. Photo or scanned copy of the test (please indicate which comment you would like the panel to address and be sure comments can be read). You may cover any identifying information if you’d like, but it will be kept confidential. OR copy the comment, including the movement number the comment was addressing. The panel would prefer a photo or scanned copy.
  3. Location of the judge along the ring (Ex: C, B, or E)
  4. A brief explanation of what is confusing about the comment (i.e. does it contain confusing terminology, or is it unclear what the comment meant in relation to the movement in the test?)
Please submit to LMLEGG22@gmail.com before July 13.
