It’s time again for our annual Member Comment Period on the Rule Change Proposals for the 2022 Rulebook. All ADS Members are automatically added to this Forum (You may opt out of this Forum Membership in your Member Profile at the top right of your screen when you're logged into the ADS website). As you probably know, the ADS updates and republishes the Rulebook annually. This allows for members to submit their suggested changes to the Rulebook, and those changes are considered by the technical committees and may be moved forward as Rule Change Proposals. Those proposals are then put up for a 30-day member comment period. Since this year the RCPs are being posted on August 2, the comment period will close on September 1.

2020 News

Published On 11/19/2020
Camille Reed of Snyder, TX, an ADS member who recently earned her 100 hour pin, died November 13th , 2020 in Lubbock, TX from complications related to COVID. Camille had a love for driving that was infectious; her enthusiasm for driving made you want to do better yourself. Camille organized a number of driving clinics in her area for her fellow drivers and competed in driving trials. Her desire to learn often took her beyond her comfort level but she had a passion to succeed with her pony, Tosca. Everyone who knew Camille all commented on her smile and friendly personality. Not only was Camille a dedicated driver, but she was also a lawyer. Her law firm was dedicated to abused and neglected children and as passionate as she was for horses, she was just as passionate about the children she represented. Camille will be missed by all her many friends and family.

The 2020 Preliminary & Intermediate Calculated Championships have been canceled because there are simply not enough recognized combined driving events across the country for most drivers to qualify. The championships usually run from August to August, so there just hasn't been enough time for the events to occur. We regret that this had to happen, but we look forward to the championships returning in 2021.
